Small Earthquake Shakes San Bernardino County

 

Did you feel it? 🚨 Last night, a 3.8 magnitude earthquake hit San Bernardino County. The shaking started around 11:38 p.m. as reported by the United States Geological Survey (USGS).

 


 

 

The quake's epicenter was near Ontario International Airport, about 2 miles southeast of Ontario. It reached a depth of about 7.4 miles underground, according to the USGS.

Luckily, there were no injuries or damage to buildings reported. 🏢

California experiences hundreds of earthquakes each year, but most are very small. However, there are some bigger ones, like this one, which can be felt more strongly. 🌎

The strongest earthquake ever recorded in California was a massive 7.9 magnitude tremor that hit Fort Tejon on Jan. 9, 1857. 😲
